Dr. Michael Zey was interviewed by the Christian Science Monitor for the Nov. 8, 2003 [VIEW]. He was interviewed about the reasons for the drop in network television viewership among young adult men. Zey claimed that males 18 to 24 now spend their leisure time playing video games and surfing the Internet. Dr. Zey suggested that the networks make TV watching more interactive, and also develop video game adaptations of their top programs.

Oct 16, 2003 KNUU-AM in Las Vegas, Nevada interviewed Dr. Zey his view on the emerging economic outlook for the U.S. Zey focused on new technologies, especially broadband communications and high-speed internet in general.

The Philadelphia Inquirer featured Dr. Zey in its Sept. 23 2003 article on the impact of broadband communications on the U.S. and global economy.[**VIEW**]

In October 2003, Dr. Michael Zey addressed the State of California's Command College on the issue of "Future Technology Trends" .This institution provides leadership training with a futures perspective to prepare key law enforcement personnel for key emerging positions.

Dr. Michael Zey was interviewed by the Christian Science Monitor for its Sept.4, 2003 edition [**VIEW**] regarding the impact of the retirement of the baby boomer population on the U.S. and global economy. In the interview Dr. Zey speculated on whether the emerging economic recovery could lead to widespread worker shortages in both the corporate and public sectors. The interview was slotted to appear in an early September issue.

On August 26,2003 Moody Broadcasting's "Primetime America", heard on over 240 radio affiliates throughout the US, interviewed Michael Zey on the future of the NASA Space Shuttle program. Zey was also asked to comment on how the just-released final report on the 2003 Challenger space shuttle disaster would affect public and government attitudes toward the space program in general. The interview was also carried on Moody's Sky Angel nation satellite network.

On August 6, 2003, Dr. Zey was interviewed on Knoxville Tennessee radio station WYIL-AM, on his vision of the future. Dr. Zey also gave a brief description of Expansionary Theory of Human Development. The program is the "Matt and Bratt Show".

Dr. Michael G. Zey appeared on Brazilian television's Globotv network. The program "Jornal Nacional", was viewed by approximately 60-100 million people in Brazil and worldwide. In a long, wide-ranging interview, Dr. Zey described his vision of the future. He covered such subjects as human life extension, the impact of computers and smart machines on society and the economy. The interview also delved into questions such as "Is humanity playing God?" and "Does humankind have the right to control the universe?"

The weekend of August 2-3, 2003 Michael Zey, along with his photo, was featured on the "home" or "Welcome" page of America OnLine which greets subscribers when they log on to AOL. AOL featured him as part of their coverage of the Reuter's article on Superlongevity. His quote "We are knocking at the door of Immortality" is offset and highlighted. The AOL service has approximately 10-13 million subscribers, with a viewership as high as 50 million people.

In July 2003 the Reuters News Service interviewed Dr. Michael Zey on the subject of Superlongevity (VIEW) . The interview was carried by hundreds of electronic and print media outlets, including The Times of India, Pravda, The Manila Times, Newark Star Ledger, Yahoo News, CNN.com, The Seattle Times, Independent Online (South Africa), Intellectual Conservative (Arizona), The Arizona Star, ABC Online, Wired News, and countless other sources.

The Italian news and family magazine Gente interviewed Dr. Zey about the societal and economic impact of Superlongevity. The interview ran in an early-August 2003 issue. Gente has a subscriber-base of close to a million readers and a total readership close to 4 million readers.

July 28, 2003 Dr. Zey appeared on KQMT, "The Pete and Lisa Show", discussing life extension technologies. The program is based in London, Ontario.

On July 25, 2003, Illinois station WMAY-AM interviewed Dr. Zey on the subject of the economic and social impact of life extension.

On July 22, 2003 Seattle radio station WZOK, a CBS affiliate, interviewed Michael Zey on the subject of Superlongevity. The program Zey appeared on is "The "Bob Rivers Show".

New Jersey Business featured Michael Zey in a June 2003 issue. The magazine interviewed Dr. Zey on how new technologies such as wireless communications will impact the office of the future.

Michael Zey's mentoring paradigm, which he introduced in his book The Mentor Connection, served as the theoretic framework for the 2003 Dissertation of the Year. The award was granted in April 2003 by the International Mentoring Association at the 2003 Diversity in Mentoring conference. The winning dissertation was entitled "Benefits of Mentoring Using Zey's Mutual Benefits Model for Cooperative Extension Staff in Selected States", by Alan Ladd of Kansas State University.

Michael Zey will present his paper "The Economic and Social Impact of Longevity and Superlongevity" at the World Future Society Conference, San Francisco, California, July, 2003.

Entrepreneur magazine will feature Michael Zey in an article on innovation in its May 2003 issue. In the article Zey describes various methods business people can utilize to anticipate the future and plan for product introduction and implementation.

In April, 2003, Dr. Zey presented "Can Cybermentoring Work in a Business Environment?" at the Diversity in Mentoring Conference, Philadelphia, PA.

March 12, 2003, Dr. Michael Zey addressed the Command College

On Feb. 24th 2003 The Trenton Times published Dr. Zey's Op-Ed "Space Exploration Makes Economic Sense". The column presents the economic rationale for aggressively expanding the U.S. space program. View Article.

Monday Feb. 3rd The Montclair Times (Montclair, NJ) interviewed Dr. Zey on the Columbia Space Disaster.

Feb. 2, 2003 Zey appeared on an Irish-based radio program, RedFM's "Cork Talks Back", with Charlie Wolf. Dr. Zey discussed benefits of US space program .

Later on Feb. 2, Michael Zey did a half-hour interview on Charlie Wolf's talk/call-in program which is broadcast nationally across the UK on talkSPORT network. The program is simply entitled"The Charlie Wolf Show". This interview provided a more in-depth look at the future of space

Saturday Feb. 1, 2003 WOR-AM in NY invited Zey to join news broadcast covering the unfolding Columbia shuttle tragedy.

Jan. 13, 2003 Dr. Zey was interviewed by the French newspaper La Liberation regarding the "resignation " of Steve Case as AOL Chairman. This article will appear in La Figaro and some other major French outlets. **View Article

Entrepreneur.com, the website, of Entrepreneur magazine, interviewed Dr. Zey for an article scheduled for late January, 2003 publication, on the economic stimulus programs offered by both President Bush and the Democrats.

On January 2, 2003 KTAR-AM, in Phoenix AZ., interviewed Zey for its drive-time morning news program. Zey presented his views on how the U.S. might achieve energy independence, and related these views to the U.S. military build-up in the Mideast.

The January 1st, 2003 edition of the Asbury Park (NJ) Press featured Michael Zey and others in an article entitled "Crystal Ball Clouded by War Worries". The article dealt with the political and economic events affecting the US over the next year. ** View article

The Trentonian, a NJ daily newspaper, interviewed Michael Zey for an article to appear January 22, 2003, dealing with breakthroughs in communications and medicine and how they might impact life over the next few decades.

July 2003 Dr. Michael Zey will appear at the World Future Society annual conference at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in San Francisco, California. Zey will address the conference on the topic "From Longevity To Superlongevity: How the Increasing Life Span Will Benefit Our Society and Economy".

Dr. Zey will speak at the annual Diversity in Mentoring Conference to be held in Philadelphia, Pa., April 2003. He will speak on the issue of "Cybermentoring: Using Technology to Overcome Physical Distance in Formal Mentor Programs."
