Project HAARP To Hold Open House For General Public at Alaska Site

Fairbanks, Alaska, Aug. 22 - The military is inviting everyone
to visit an installation in interior Alaska that some people
find quite intimidating.

It's called the HAARP project. HAARP stands for High
Frequency Active Auroral Research Project.

The military uses the system to study the ionosphere. But
conspiracy theories about HAARP are posted widely on the
Internet.

Those sites connect the HAARP project to UFO's as well as
mind control experiments by the US military. Among other
wide-ranging concerns.

The air force is opening the doors of project HAARP this
weekend.

An open house this Saturday and Sunday will allow the
public to tour the facilities, which are located on the Tok
cutoff near Golkana.

Staff members will be on hand to answer questions about
HAARP and its scientific studies.
