NEW YORK, Dec. 19, 2001 (Expansionary News Service) On January 2, 2002, 11:00 PM EST, internationally-acclaimed futurist Dr. Michael G. Zey, author of “The Future Factor: The Five Forces Transforming Our Lives and Shaping Human Destiny” (McGraw-Hill), will appear on Business Talk Radio’s Jesse Berst program to discuss  the issue of human cloning.
      The Lewis Berst show is aired over 100s of stations nationwide and worldwide on the web. www.berst.com.  Dr. Zey will be featured as part of  a 3-person panel discussing “How Cloning Can Benefit the Human Species”. Expected to appear on the panel is the CEO of a major biotech company involved in cloning.
Dr. Zey is well-known for his view that we must apply cutting-edge biological techniques such as cloning and genetic engineering to enhance human health and extend the human life span. In his books, which include “Seizing The Future”, Zey has claimed that we could use cloning technology to produce genetically identical embryos of children as a source of “spare parts” for failing organs in the living child. Alternatively, we could use the genes of a child suffering from an incurable disease, such as leukemia, to clone a child who could provide his older twin lifesaving bone marrow.
     Michael Zey is not shy about airing his controversial views in print and electronic media. Zey is airing his views in Worth, Entrepreneur, Newsweek (Japan), and is appearing on the new network Satellite XM’s USAToday/Newstalk station. On January 7 he will appear on WGAB (Wyoming/Colorado) to discuss human cloning.
Dr. Michael G. Zey, whom Booklist  claims “could be the next Alvin Toffler”, consults to corporations and government agencies on future planning, speaks regularly about the future on the international lecture circuit, and has appeared on The Wall Street Journal Report, CNBC, CNN, and The Turning Point, and in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and La Monde. Michael Zey has authored numerous books including Seizing the Future and The Mentor Connection. He recently has appeared on “The Morning Edition” (KVON -San Francisco), CNNfn, the popular “Mike Murphy Show” on KCMO-AM, the nationally-syndicated “Laura Lee Show”, and “The John Jackson Show” on WMAY, Chicago.
