Dr. Michael Zey to appear on CNNfn Tuesday 12/26 9PM EST to discuss trends impacting business in 2001

On Tuesday, December 26, 2000, 9 PM EST, internationally-acclaimed futurist Dr. Michael G. Zey, author of the just published The Future Factor: The Five Forces Transforming Our Lives and Shaping Human Destiny  (McGraw-Hill) will appear on CNNfn’s Entrepreneurs Only/

The interview will look at the major issues which business must be concerned with in order to thrive throughout 2001. Zey claims that first and foremost, businesses today must resist the temptations to lay off their talented workers if the economy moves into a recession.  According to Dr. Zey, talent is so scarce that any workers laid off in bas times will be impossible to replace when the economy inevitably recovers.

Dr. Zey will discuss how advances in  computer technology will help companies grow in the year 2001. Moreover, Zey claims that cuts in interest rates will create a positive climate for refinancing.  Zey will also have some insights into the impact of energy and transportation infrastructure on business growth.

Dr. Michael G. Zey, whom Booklist claims  “could be the next Alvin Toffler”, consults to corporations and government agencies on future planning, speaks regularly about the future on the international lecture circuit, and has appeared on The Wall Street Journal Report, CNBC, CNN, and The Turning Point, and in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and La Monde. Michael Zey has authored numerous books including Seizing the Future and The Mentor Connection.

Zey’s "The Future Factor" offers an inspiring vision of an exciting new world in which people will live to be 150 years or more, commute to work in flying skycars, travel around the globe at hypersonic speeds, and enjoy a better quality of life with the help of robots and other “smart machines”.

He serves as Executive Director of the Expansionary Institute (www.zey.com), and is a Professor at Montclair State University, Upper Montclair, NJ.
